Famous kitchen layouts

There are six basic types of kitchen layouts: L-Shape,  Straight, Island, Parallel, U-Shape, and G-Shaped. Most of the homes have an L-Shape or a square shape as they are most suited for small to medium-sized homes. Here are the six basic types of kitchen shapes you can choose from before finalizing that master kitchen interior plan! It will be the heart of your home for many years to come, so choose wisely

Just like its name, this kitchen has two counters that join forming an L-shape, giving an efficient kitchen triangle. The L-Shaped kitchen is ergonomically appropriate and facilitates a sensible work triangle for preparation, cooking, and cleaning. This type of kitchen design can be matched to any decor as this layout type requires an excellent floor plan.

A counter in the middle for prepping and serving. Kitchen layouts with islands give more rooms for kids to play around, do their homework, and ample space makes the kitchen a multifunctional area. It also provides additional storage and is more brightly ventilated.

Parallel Kitchen :

Two collaterally placed counters, provide good storage. With parallel modular kitchen designs, your kitchen no longer needs to be a hidden room in your house. It provides lots of counter space, and storage and allows plenty of room for movement as well. The parallel kitchen is suitable for most types of homes and is easily adaptable to your needs.

U-shaped Kitchen :

Kitchens with 3 counters attached forming a U shape, This is a practical use of kitchen space, something which  L-shaped kitchens and other galley kitchens might find harder to achieve. The biggest advantage of a U-shaped modular kitchen is the safety factor as it doesn’t allow traffic to disrupt your workflow.

G-shaped Kitchen :

Similar to a U-shaped kitchen with an added peninsula wall. The G-shape works well with all kitchen styles, safety, and efficiency while cooking is increased with this layout. This type of kitchen shape can fit several cabinets and house doors or walkways at either end of the run. Wall cabinets run along the wall to store all major appliances. The base cabinets should be made from a darker material, while the upper cabinets should be brighter to connect the cabinets more toward the ceiling.
